Mitică Ciorpac, (1988) completed a Master’s in Molecular Genetics at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași in 2012. He subsequently began his PhD at in Genetics at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași. Mitică’s PhD focused on molecular phylogeny and bioinformatics. During its PhD, Mitică joined to university research department in 2013 as a junior researcher in molecular genetics. He successfully defended her PhD thesis in November 2015. In 2017, Mitică joined to the Danube Delta National Institute for Research and Development, and became the head the Genetic and Molecular Ecology Lab. Mitică joined the CEMEX team in 2021 as an Experienced Scientist in Genetics, establishing with CEMEX team the Molecular and Biochemistry Diagnostics facility and the NGS Lab.
