Andrei Szilagyi (1989) is a Veterinarian at the Advanced Research and Development Center for Experimental Medicine (CEMEX). In addition to being responsible with animal welfare, he is in charge of the Microsurgery Laboratory at CEMEX.
Szilagyi graduated from “Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, USAMV-Iasi, specializing in Surgical Propaedeutics. He managed his own veterinary practice from 2017, focusing on small animal surgery, until finally joining the CEMEX team in December of 2021.
Szilagyi’s main scientific interest is in experimental microsurgery as well as in the optimization of all procedures involving laboratory animals.
